How the VHP LS60 Biodecontamination Chamber Operates
The unit combines STERIS’s patented, world renowned VHP process technology, vacuum conditions, and Vaprox® 59 Hydrogen Peroxide Sterilant in a fully automated unit.
VHP process technology introduced in 1991 uses hydrogen peroxide vapor as a broad-spectrum antimicrobial with no condensation of active ingredient onto surfaces.
Why the VHP LS60 Biodecontamination Chamber?
Easy Operation
Three factory programmed cycles for Lumen, Flexible Lumen and Non-Lumen instrument loads simplify operation.1,2,3
Ergonomic shelving makes loading and unloading easy – just pull and push.
Productivity
2.1ft3 (60L) open, square chamber design offers industry leading space for processing more instruments per cycle.
VHP process technology improves cycle time and daily throughput compared to conventional systems.
USB port allows for electronic cycle data capture.
Compact Design
Table top design allows for ease of integration into existing space or convenient storage underneath.4
Versatility
Validated cycle capable of processing a non-lumen load of up to 12 lb (5.4 kg) in 28 minutes.
Validated cycle capable of processing a lumen load of up to 12 lumens in 60 minutes.
Validated cycle capable of processing a load of 1 flexible lumen with a light cord (if not integral to the instrument) in 38 minutes.
Reliability
Low sensitivity to moisture minimizes aborted cycles, saving time and enabling reliable instrument turnaround.
Efficiency
Proprietary Vaprox 59 Hydrogen Peroxide Sterilant minimizes risk of instrument damage and is biodegradable into water vapor and oxygen.
